Next Steps
We will establish a baseline of your child’s abilities through an evaluation process. Our play-based evaluations, which combine standardized assessments with clinical observations of the child’s performance in various functional skills, including activities like ball play, fine motor activities, visual motor tasks, visual perceptual skills, gross motor tasks, self-care tasks (such as dressing, shoe tying, or eating when relevant), social interactions, self-regulation, functional communication, and at times visual processing skills.
After the evaluation is finished, please expect to wait for 7 business days for the plan of care to be prepared. The therapist will then review the plan of care with the family and provide guidance on how they can effectively support and work towards the goals within their own home.
treatment sessions
Treatment sessions are conducted in a collaborative manner, with parents and the therapist working together to determine the most suitable environment for meeting the child’s needs. This may include sessions at the child’s school, home, a park, or during a social outing. The therapist will ensure that all necessary materials and resources are provided for the child during the session to support their progress.
